New York’s capital.

The state house stands in majesty

With chambers palatial.

In Capital Region.

In Hudson vale, good will prevail.

Your colleges abound.

From far off distance people come

They find choice all around.

Your knowledge truly shows

They dedicate to educate

At College of Saint Rose.

Start of Erie Canal

Locks connect main waterways

For business commercial.

Oh Albany, old Albany

Your love was plentiful.

Giving was shown from your Brownstones

Came the Tulip Festival.

 

Oh Albany, place of new growth

Farming everywhere.

So much abundance, extra flows.

So many neighbors share.

Oh Albany, my Albany

Apple orchards grow.

You city great in Empire State,

As everybody knows.
