Batteries

All alone in the darkness

The phone screen is fading

The light doesn’t show.

 

I find the cord

And wonder why I forgot to charge it.

Then the screen begins to glow.

 

Memory

So much memory needs energy

Power bills are still costly

It’s the price of new tech.

 

I remember the time when computers were slow.

More memory is what people expect.

 

Every effort to research

renewables is genius.

It’s worth the struggle to bring us muscle.

A breakthrough, rich could make us.

 

Daylight

Shine on solar panels.

Add power to the grid

Each new day brings more.

 

Wind turbines

Are also impressive structures

Some stand off the shore.

 

This burnt out planet, we need to save.

People have been longing

To start new visions, improve conditions

A new time is dawning.

 

Energy

I plug in my vehicle.

I only need some fuel

Gas, I bid you farewell.

 

I know that I’m helping to save the environment

And my heart begins to swell.
