Brew, My Brother, Brew
(Tune of "Drill, Ye Tarriers, Drill" American Traditional)
Early in the morning at eight o'clock
My brother’s at the brewery doing his work
The boss comes around and says, “Let’s set records.”
So my brother won a world award.
Brew my brother brew.
Brew, my brother, brew.
He works all day so his bills he can pay
And evening he can play
Brew my brother brew.
And mix and mash.
Now my smart brother he is a Yancey
He’s so clever its uncanny
He brewed his beer with maple syrup
Now you can taste Yancey syrup in your cup
Brew my brother brew.
My brother he has two dogs and a house
He with his beer he can be generous
He lives in the country by a beautiful lake
And he invites friends over for beer to partake
Brew my brother brew.
Brew, my brother, brew.
He works all day so his bills he can pay
And the evening he can play
Brew my brother brew.
And mix and mash.
Now my brother’s a fine man down to the ground
And he married a woman who knows how to sell.
She had a baby who was a girl.
Now he’s got his hands full with a family as well.
Brew my brother brew.
Brew, my brother, brew.
He works all day so his bills he can pay
And the evening he can play
Brew my brother brew.
And mix and mash.
Brew, my brother, brew.
He works all day so his bills he can pay
And the evening he can play
Brew my brother brew.
And mix and mash.
Brew, my brother, brew!
