(Tune of “Change the World” by Eric Clapton)
As I reach for the fruit
Picked from the trees embrace
I bite into the drupe
And savor the rich, sweet taste
I glance down below to see
The fruit basket is full
So many rows of trees.
It’s truly a marvel
If I could
Change the world
There would be lovely orchards all around
The earth would be a place where fruit abounds
Surely, If I could
Change the world
I pull grapes from the vines
Hanging from the trees
The juice is natures wine
Offered for all to please
The birds come down to eat
In the garden at day’s end
Giving us a place to meet
Feeding nature’s friends
If I could
Change the world
There would be productive plants in every yard
Fruitful plants and trees would stay in high regard.
Surely, If I could
Change the world
