I see the representatives

To our state assembly

And I see our two state senators

To our U.S democracy

 

And I’m proud to live in Albany

Seat of state democracy

Home of the great assembly

That maintains our liberties

And I proudly stand up and state with pride

This city is the spark

That nurtures

Our state democracy

God Bless Albany, New York!

 

From the columns of state offices

to the grand capitol doors

Through the halls of all the colleges

To the steps of the state court

 

From the shores of Hudson River

Past skyscrapers and highways

From the cliffs of Thatcher Park

To University of Albany

 

Oh, I’m proud to live in Albany

Home of Washington Park

A founder of US democracy

Who helped our republic start

And I gladly see all the colleges

And happily, remark

The College of Saint Rose

Is a lovely school

God Bless Albany, New York!

 

That I’m proud to live in Albany

New York capital city.

A place of cafes, tulips, old houses

It’s a lovely place to be

And I gladly get up each new day

To see the residents at work

At Empire State Plaza
