God Bless New York State
(Tune of "GodBless The U.S.A." by Lee Greenwood)
When I wake up every morning
I’m happy to be here
I am proud I settled in
Viewing seasons through the year
I’m grateful for this place.
Home of education.
Cause the flag shows constant progress.
The best state in the nation.
I am proud to be a New Yorker.
Living here among the trees.
In a state so great with many farms.
And so rich in history.
I gladly travel to see its sights
Find a place to recreate
For I know for sure
I love this place
God bless New York state.
From the falls of Niagara
Through Mohawk river valley
Over the blue finger lakes.
To bright New York City
From the peaks of Adirondacks
To the halls of Albany
There’s pride in every New Yorker’s heart.
And I am proud to stand and say
I’m proud to be a New Yorker
The state of New York City
And I know that it’s a lovely place
To see the turning of the leaves.
A place of useful waterways
A home of a Great Lake
With great certainty.
I’m sure to say
God Bless New York State
And I’m proud to be a New Yorker.
Home of Lady Liberty.
Standing tall with her torch of light
Looking out across the sea.
Cherish the freedoms that you have
In this fruitful estate
As I look around
I say with pride
God Bless New York state.
