Home in New York
(Tune
of Home on the Range)
Home,
home in New York
Where
the deer graze in the trees.
The
bunnies come out to eat the green grass
And
all day fly the Cottonwood seeds.
The
sun shines on the porch,
A
warm orange and yellow.
The
chipmunks chirp in the underbrush,
And
the evening is quiet and mellow.
Seeds
float in the air.
They
shine like stars in the light.
The
shadows get long as the world spins on.
Soon
we’ll be sleeping at night.
