Invisible Touch

I’ve been working and writing inside so long.

And I’ve been thinking, thinking a break is what I long.

So now I know

I must go walk among the trees

So my face can feel the breeze

Then I get up, take my flask and hike the forest.

 

It seems to have an invisible touch, yeah.

It reaches out and grabs hold of your mind.

It offers relief and connection to the earth

It is so good to make effort to walk outside.

 

I don’t really know all, I only know some trails.

But I know I can find my way, I’ll stay on paths with rails.

And I know

I have a detailed map I trust

It’s not that mysterious

So I get up, take my flask and hike the forest.

 

It seems to have an invisible touch yeah.

It reaches out and grabs hold of your mind.

It offers relief and connection to the earth

It is so good to make effort to walk outside.

 

I apply bug spray, sunscreen and a hat.

The work can wait, It’ll be here when I come back

So I go

With my snack and light jacket

I’m prepared, its good habit.

Then I get up, take my flask and hike the forest.

It reaches out and grabs hold of your mind.

It is so good to make effort to walk outside.
