The fancy rats are now at rest.

They’re in white, they wear their best.

Their nestled in their paper nest.

 

They’ll soon be up at night

They really like to play fight with each other; they show sass.

 

Our pets, are so very fun to watch.

Our pets, bring us joy around the (clock)

 

Our pets, they are a gas

Their always up to antics

And sometimes loud, alas.

 

Money value they surpass.

But getting out is not allowed, a firm hand can help perhaps.

The dogs love to wake us up.

The feeling is so abrupt.

They give us a big wet kiss

 

They wave their soft, furry tails

They look at us expecting lots of play and praise.

The cats always watched with care but never liked it when you stared.

Their purring, I always liked and how they wanted to be stroked.

I was always stoked.

The birds always liked to warble; their feathers so colorful.

Then they would fly and rest on our shoulders.

So wonderful

 

Our pets, bring us many happy days.

Our pets, are with us for decades.

Our pets, good memories they amass.

Our pets, bad memories they outlast.
