(Tune to “Peaceful Easy Feeling” by the Eagles)
I like to see the fruitful apple trees
Their crop so crisp and red
They’re the flame trees of New York and Albany
With the yellow autumn leaves they spread
And I have a peaceful easy feeling
That fruit will be shared with all
Cause it’s the tempting cuisine
Of the Fall
The chipmunks have dug their holes in the sandy ground.
Their winter food, their homes will keep
Soon the snow will cover them in a shroud
And the creatures will be fast asleep.
And I have a peaceful easy feeling
They’ll get through the winter squalls
Cause they’re already storing
through the Fall
I smell the scent of pines on the breeze
Needles lay in carpets on the ground
I know they’ll be fine through the winter freeze
As the snow adorns the world around
I have a peaceful easy feeling
Not to fear what could befall
I’m blissfully seeing
I’m dreamily feeling
I’m evenly breathing
in of Fall
