Up all night, sleep all day

 

(When the evenin comes)

My fancy rats are up.

They love to explore the cage and play

(That’s when they come out) What is it that gets in their minds

to want to use the power to squeak?

 

When the lights are out

(The stars are shining down)

That’s when were all asleep.

(And when the morning comes.)

They wake us up with their speaks.

 

Up all night
Sleep all day

 

Climbing all the cage bars.

Never alone.

Playing and fighting like they are insane.

Find me in the corner

With a pillow over my face.

I think you’d want to do the same.

 

When the lights are out.

(They’re up from dusk til dawn!)

That’s when were all asleep.

They wake us up with their speaks.

I’m glad they don’t stay up

Twenty-four hours a day.

 

I wish they slept at night, and were up in the day.
